They have diversified businesses that include online bookstore, video games, electronic products etc. The company rose to immense popularity with the recent success of its tablet named Amazon Kindle Fire that runs on the android platform and was sold at a relatively affordable price compared to its competitors such as Apple’s ipad2 as well as Nook tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Skin confirmed for 2012 launch
Samsung introduced Samsung Galaxy Skin a concept phone, I thing I was concept phone but actually it was not , the flexible smartphone arriving sometime next year .the Samsung Galaxy Skin, a flexible phone concept created by Heyon You. This incredible design features a flexible AMOLED display and its case is made of graphene. which will make flexible displays a reality by the time the Skin hits the market. The key technology of the device is the “Galaxy Skin” that transforms the entire body of the handset by sending an electronic signal. As far as specs go, the display is a 4 inch WVGA one of the flexible kind and the Samsung Galaxy Skin also comes with a 1GHz CPU, a projector, augmented reality and the customized Android Flexy OS.
This polyimide substrate will replace the glass which most, if not all, smartphones use at the moment, where it is soft enough to be rollable and bendable without suffering any damage to image quality, and yet it can still survive blows from a hammer.
Do expect the Samsung Galaxy Skin to be as thick and wide as the Galaxy S2, although the display will have double the length when unfolded. We did miss out on the dimensions and internal memory capacities in our previous story – the Galaxy also an 8 megapixel camera on board with auto focus, panorama shot and more, plus Bluetooth 3.0 support, USB 2.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. You get 32GB/16GB of internal memory on the device. The product measures 8mm in thickness and its battery is a 1500 mAh unit. This design reminds me a bit of the case of a Palmtop device with that flipping side. I wonder how they’ll integrate the battery in the flexible body…

Talking about memory than it may disappoint every one as it has only 8GB internal memory and company has not given external card slot for expanding the memory as per our needs. Samsung Galaxy Nexus Gets Announced With Ice-Cream Sandwich
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the world’s first phone to run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and comes with a plethora of top end tech, including a huge but still massively high resolution screen. Ice Cream Sandwich fuses together last year’s Gingerbread OS for phones and Honeycomb for tablets and gives us a whole new, futuristic Android device to get to grips with.
There are some gadgets in geek-world that are announced and we just cannot wait to touch. Nokia’s N95, the original iPhone, the T-Mobile G1 and Palm’s first Pre. And the Galaxy Nexus fits firmly in that category.
The Galaxy Nexus is Google’s attempt to counter Apple’s shiny Iphone 4S, and The INQUIRER has had a chance to play with both devices to see which is more worth splashing out the cash to buy.

LG’s Snapdragon-powered LU2300 Optimus Q Android handset
According to Telecoms Korea LG has finally come clean with its new LU2300 Android handset. Rumored to launch in Q2 of 2010, the phone will display information about objects that the camera has in focus. For example, if you aim your camera at a particular building, information about it and its history will be displayed. The thing is said to sport a 3.5-inch (800 x 480) AMOLED capacitive touch screen, Android 2.1, landscape mode slide keyboard, support for DivX files, a 5 megapixel (720p video) camera with geo-tagging, WiFi, GPS, DMB tuner with 1 GHz Snapdragon processor.
AMOLED [active-matrix organic light-emitting diode]
AMOLED (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) is a display technology for use in mobile devices and televisions. OLED describes a specific type of thin-film display technology in which organic compounds form the electroluminescent material, and active matrix refers to the technology behind the addressing of pixels.
As of 2011, AMOLED technology is used in mobile phones, media players and digital cameras, and continues to make progress toward low-power, low-cost and large-size (for example, 40-inch) applications.
AMOLED works by having a thin film transistor (TFT) layer consisting of an array of OLED pixels that form a matrix. Upon activation with electrical energy, the OLED pixels will illuminate light to render whites and colors; blacks will be shown to the eye due to unactivated OLED pixels. According to Wikipedia, “The TFT array continuously controls the current that flows to the pixels, signaling to each pixel how brightly to shine.”
AMOLED screens have surfaced over the past few years, offering thin, flexible alternatives to the classic LCD screens found in many electronics today. This new screen from Samsung goes a step further than just being flexible. Samsung is actually touting the new display as “unbreakable”. How do you prove that? Hit it with a hammer, of course.
Future development
Manufacturers have developed in-cell touch panels, integrating the production of capacitive sensor arrays in the AMOLED module fabrication process. In-cell sensor AMOLED fabricators include AU Optronics and Samsung. Samsung has marketed their version of this technology as Super AMOLED. Clear Black Display or CBD is an AMOLED display with a polarized filter on top. Researchers at DuPont used computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software to optimize coating processes for a new solution-coated AMOLED display technology that is cost and performance competitive with existing commercial vapor deposition technology. Using custom modeling and analytical approaches, they developed short- and long-range film-thickness control and uniformity that is commercially viable at large glass sizes.
